hi.
i wanted to know about the safe temperature of the processor Intel Core i7 5700HQ.
i asked MSI and they had told me that the safe temp is 100c but i know that this temperature will melt down the board.
in game i have about 80C But Sometimes it go's to 85 or 90 But its not permanent and its only for some moments.
i have above 90C temps when i use Intel burn in test V2.
My Cooler its Zalman NC3000S That is the best laptob coolers in my country.
i monitor the temps in windows 10 with HWMonitor pro.
thanks a lot.

Solution
Everyone is making out that this is a problem. Its not. 90'c on a laptop when running Intel burn test is pretty normal, IBT heats things up way more than normal use and high load.

80'c in gaming is pretty normal for a laptop.

yeah those stickers are evil, sometimes I can get them with an exacto knife, but one twitch and poof goes the warranty....

Which version of Prime95 are you using? Newer versions use AVX instructions, which tend to cause the CPU to heat up even more than usual. Given that most people don't run software that uses AVX, the temperatures are unrealistic. Try something like version 26.6 and run small FFTs. This version will still cause temperatures higher than you're ever likely to see during normal use, but they should be a little more reasonable.

by the article that you mentioned my processor was not in it but my processor Tjunction(CoreTemp) was 105c on the intel website
http://ark.intel.com/products/87716/Intel-Core-i7-5700HQ-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz
and i did check some other laptops review with 4720hq and their temps was like mine and i think laptops actually are supposed to tolerate more temperature than the PC's so I think My temps Are okay.
please tell me if i'm wrong.
thank you.

I have a GE72 and when i upgraded to my ssd i had to remove the warranty stickers. before i did, i called msi and they said that if i was upgrading the hdd to a ssd then the sticker removal wouldnt harm the warranty.... So if you are concerned about the loss of warranty i dont think you have too much to worry about. make sure you re paste the cpu properly. maybe take it into a computer shop if you arent comfortable doing it yourself.

Hi, I experiment on my computers and found out Farcry 4 game create more heat most than other games. I got an MSI Apache Pro with i7 5700HQ and GTX 960M. I just upgrade it to water cooler system (custom made with copper tubing passing to CPU and GPU) I still get a temperature of 80c to 90c for the CPU and 52c for GPU. I guess it is safe for the original fan just go normal and when I touch the copper tubing it coming out from the laptop it do not create heat. I hope it help.
