How about at least being honest about what the article said? The article specifically said NOT to upgrade your recent platform because the gains were too small. Now, you see how nicely I avoided calling you a liar? Instead, I'll just call your post "counter-marketing". And this is the same type of gentle language used, rather than anger or derision, in the article.

entitlement? no, I paid 150$ for something I don't want because the computer would be effectively useless without it, they have a borderline monopoly if you are not willing to move to tablets, linux, or macs. I would love to give microsoft the finger and use something else, but I can't.

And oh, whats this? They had 3 newer oses sense windows 7, and they couldn't get people to go to them willingly even when given to them for free? Something is telling me they are all crap and they want us to move off the good os, you know what, I'd be willing to pay an extra 100-200$ just to stay on windows 7 and know hardware will work, why fix what clearly isn't broke?

It looks like just to make sure my computer doesn't break any given update I will have to either pay microsoft around 100$ a year for enterprise edition 10, or figure out how to firewall everything related to microsoft, oh the joys of the new oses they created, not only a telemetry filled malware of an os, but now a potential gun in a toddlers hand to boot, yes windows 7 is so outdated and broken i had to take the gun out of an adult's hand that understand 'put the gun down' and give it to a toddler who may shoot itself.
