I assume that they are compatible since they are both LGA 1366. I would just like to double check first before I drop over 500$ on a new CPU.. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

I have the ASUS Rampage III Formula LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard.. I'm asking if the CPU listed above in the first post, is compatible

if LGA 1366 is a dead socket I'm stuck with it cause I own that motherboard
