What's in the "a bunch of stuff" section of the die?

Maybe every diagram of a CPU die has this, but I honestly can't remember the last one I've ever looked at.

They all have similar section where they do stuff that has to be done, but can't put that piece in a different area of the CPU

But yeah super fin my butt,it's just intel's justification to sell people 10nm for the next 10 years since nobody else can come anywhere near them anyway.

So let me see if I see this right, after all the crap intel has been taking cause of the lack of pcie 4.0 (which may not be present on the 11th gen desktop parts either), the lower core/thread count compared to AMD chips, the higher power consumption, etc. they choosed to show off a 4 core cpu?

Are we in 2015 again?

Any information on which Chipset Tiger Lake uses?
Building a Vermeer and want a Quad for single core apps, Tiger looks good but only if I can use a server/kind of board from ASRock Rack.
