If it really is low density, then the module is defective. I was unable to find the Dolgix memory specs and you didn't provide the part number, but I presume you bought DLD2GD3-10. You know it's low density because you checked the IC's specs?

The chips show 2656x8; therefore they are low density. Is this the only low density 2 GB module that you can buy? For an unknown reason it seems to be incompatible with your motherboard.
I unselected the the solution because the issue isn't yet resolved.
