Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 in PC

Hi,

I have a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 installed in my PC, I have literally no clue when it comes to wireless stuff, is this at all any good? Also, if it's not, can I still go out and get a better wireless usb adapter and just stick that in and that will prioritize over the AC 3168 without taking the chip out?

I know network cards and ethernet will be better, but I'm just wondering about the above question.

It's a decent 1x1 antenna with dual band and bluetooth features. I wouldn't replace it unless you are having a problem with losing connectivity or some other issue.
