Hi all,

I am building a budget photo and video editing rig.

I have selected the i 3 2120 processor with has Intel HD Graphics 2000 and Asus or Gigabyte H61 Motherboard.

I am not buying a graphics card now and am planning to rely on Intel HD Graphics 2000 for photo and video editing.

Confusion is: H61 motherboards also have integrated graphics card. In the absence of a discrete graphics card, will I be using the Intel HD Graphics 2000 onboard the CPU or the graphics card available with the H61 motherboard? And how?

thanks!

But I have heard and read they have..please correct me if I am wrong.

I have selected the two mentioned below. Both have mentioned about Integrated Graphics card. Please check the links and advice.

The only IGP present on those board is whatever is provided by the CPU. Since nearly all LGA1155 CPUs have IGP, all LGA1155 boards can claim to have IGP support even though there are no IGP functions on the boards themselves other than the output port drivers provided by the chipset and the physical ports on the IO plate.
