Hello,
I have a new laptop with an Intel HD Graphics 3000. I want to run Microsoft Train Simulator, and the image I get is too narrow for the height - i.e. it looks 'squashed'. How can I alter the aspect ratio on the HD 3000 so as to make it fill the screen?
Many thanks.
Stuart.

change the resolution in game to the proper ratio. the game is probably using something like 800x600, 1024x768, or something else 4:3.
while nearly every laptop today uses a 16:9 ratio
try resolutions like 1366x768, 1280x720, 1024x576.
granted the higher the resolution is, the better it will look, but at the same time the slower it will run. most laptops native resolution is 1366x768, so i would start there.

Microsoft Train Simulator is quite old now and won't be intensive at all on the HD 3000.
You should be able to run it at the highest resolution your laptop supports without performance loss.
