hi can intel hd graphics 3000 run games like nfs hot pursuit, GTA4, dirt3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Sims 3: Generations, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, etc

Depends on the cpu i'm pretty sure. I'm assuming the dual core i5 2410M in my laptop with hd3000 graphics is less powerful than a desktop model, but my laptop can run all the valve games (tf2 L4d2 Portal2) pretty well at 1366X768. It can't run gta4 at all, however. It also should depend on your ram since it is shared as graphics memory. I have 6Gb in my laptop. I don't own any of the other games, but I'd say my laptop wouldn't be able to run Deus EX or Dirt 3.

Sims 3 would be o.k. Anything more demanding is going to be pushing it. Good luck trying to play GTA 4 even on the lowest of settings, unless you like slide shows

Well my Q965 Express IGP (PCIe socket dead-waiting on new mobo)
can run Need For Speed Carbon 2006 at 1280x1024 medium settings
and the Q965 is OLD (2006)

you really need a video card
minimally a HD 6770 or GT 450
if your case can fit it
and your PSU can handle it

This made me check out docking stations and port replicators to see if there was
any kind of graphics solution but now
You can add multiple monitors to a laptop that way.
Thinking about it if there no way to direct feed the video from the motherboard
Notebook graphics are almost always embedded into the motherboard
meaning they would have to be unsoldered to remove

The majority of laptops (at least 98%) cannot have their graphics card upgraded. Those few laptops that can are typically expensive gaming laptops to begin with. Generally starting at a minimum of $1,500 at the very least.
