I can't wait for a 12 core, 24 thread 2GHz+ (I'm asking for 12 cores here, I don't expect a high frequency) 24MB cache 22nm i9 running a couple Nvidia 3xx's or 5970's. 4 monitors in the house, but only a single tower to rule them all. >:)

Don't we already have enough problems with 3 different sockets? We certainly don't need a replacement for the x58 at this time, maybe an update with sata 6.0 and usb 3.0. Most chipsets are still made on 65nm scale and do the job perfectly fine. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
 
3rd line down in the "key features" of the specs image..."compatible with Intel core I7-9xx series processors"...what? Does it plug into an existing I7 cpu in a piggy back fashion? I think they mean "compatible with X58 chipset"...kind of a major typo for what looks to be an official overview from Intel.
