Of the three the i3 with the 650 TI looks to be the most well rounded for gaming.

I agree with corbeau. I would pick the i3. However, if you plan on future upgrades, I would take the hit on graphics right now and buy the i5.

I would say go with the i5, because more and more games are leaning towards multiple cores. Later on it's easier to upgrade the GPU than the CPU.

I agree with corbeau. I would pick the i3. However, if you plan on future upgrades, I would take the hit on graphics right now and buy the i5.

Totaly agree especialy since AAA game even start to make use of hypertrading.

But its depend on your futur also. If your buying this rig because your a poor student and plan to get something better when you'll be rich, buy the I3 and just trash it later on to buy a top PC. But if your on a budget now and will remain on a budget in a few years. Go with the I5 and cheaper GPU (maybe a used one if you dont fear it) and just upgrade that GPU later on.

Pretty close of each other IMO but the AMD cost 10$ more so it depend on the mobo you'll pick I guess.

I agree with corbeau, barto, and Heironious. If this is a one-time purchase, the i3+GTX650Ti seems the most balanced, but if future upgrades are likely, I'd get the i5.

Fx6300 + 650Ti.

The I3 is a great processor for what it is but it is becoming less and less relevant in today's games. As Crysis 3 (http://www.techspot.com/review/642-crysis-3-performance/page6.html) and Battlefield 3 have proven, games are becoming more CPU intense.

Also, keep in mind the next *Xbox* (not confirmed but rumored) and PS4 are running AMD X86 architecture with 8 cores and more and more pc games are ports from consoles. It only makes sense that more cores will become more important over time as the 8th generation console games start getting ported to PC.

Or just get the I5 + 7770.

I say go for FX 6300 and the GTX 650ti. Mutli core support going forward is only going to get better. Also, AMD boards tend to be less expensive than an equally featured Intel board. Then there is the fact that 1155 is effectively dead with Haswell coming out in June and will be a new socket. AM3+ is getting Steamroller. A quality AM3+ should get the bios update for it.

I vote for the FX6300 for threaded performance and it can overclock as well, the other 2 might beat it at stock clocks but 6300 can catch up that deficit with overclocking.

This. You should be able to upgrade the AMD later without having to get a new MoBo. Get something like an Asus Sabertooth 990FX or Asrock Extreme series 990FX and you will be good until 2015 when AM4 comes out.
