Intel i5-3550 vs i5 3570k

So I wanted to know what everyones opinion was on the better CPU overall, best bang for your buck, etc. It seems to me that the main reason for the $30 price difference is the faster onboard graphics and the extra 0.1GHz. I'm trying to build a budget gaming build currently and if I could downgrade to the 3550 without much performance decrease then I could upgrade to the Radeon HD 6950. Any input is appreciated. OK first of all you have made a mistake We have not manufactured an Intel® Core™ i5-3550K, we have an Intel Core i5-3550. So the main difference between the Intel Core i5-3550 and the Intel Core i5-3570K which offers the ability to overclock the processor as the main advantage; there are others but that is the big one. http://ark.intel.com/compare/65516,65520

HD2500 vs HD4000 IGP is also a significant difference when using either IGP, QuickSync or something that benefits from VirtuMVP.

the quick sync is very fast at converting videos and i do believe that using virtuMVP you can connect your CPU graphics with your graphics card for a increase in performance.
