I am wondering... How many years will my pc with a 980 ti graphics card and intel i7 4790k cpu last for 1080p gaming at 30-60fps?

Solution
Honestly, we can never tell. Games will be continuously developed, some may be GPU-intensive while some may be not. Currently, with that 30-60 FPS, your GTX 980 Ti can perform up to 1440p and, to some extent, 4k. It'll max out all games at 1080p (and would seem much as an overkill). In fact, a GTX 970 might just suffice. So, with a GTX 980 Ti at 1080p? It'll probably go a loooong way at that resolution. Exact number of years? Nobody can tell.

I'm Surprised how well my i7-2600 (4+ years old) and 780ti (almost 2 years old) killing it on all the new games @ 1080/Ultra - DSR 4k/High and feel no rush to upgrade which puts you in an even better place with your setup.

Just remember there are always crazy settings that can destroy your performance and it doesn't take long to know what to avoid (Ex: 4k DSR on new tittles like Witcher 3).

You have a long time for sure, I've only changed my GPU once since my original build and that's because going high end buys more time. A G-sync monitor would be a nice compliment to your system if you haven't done so already, I love AOC's G-sync monitor for it's price and performance.
