also am3 is not worth it, switch the cpu to a 940, the board to the DFI am2+ FX board on scan and the ram to 1066mhz ddr2.

then it will be more in the running, especially if it's for gaming as you can get a far better gfx card with the money saved.

i7core if you have the money, 955 build could be worth it if you had the combos.

x4 955 + gigabyte UD4P AM3 combo

and ddr3 1333mhx ram for $59.99

but, i7 will still out beat amd in the long run for gaming..
