Hopefully this isn't too old  . I thought it was a pretty good review.

Anyone seen any RECENT reviews of these boards? I'm tired of looking at old news

It looks like the Abit and Asus boards are tied-too close to call on performance. Yet the MSI board, even though it's overclocked, is #3 in performance! So not only do they cheat, but even when they cheat they loose?

And for some strange reason, they listed the boards neither alphabetically nor in order of performance? They put the Abit board at the bottom why...to make you not notice that it wins over 50% of the benchies? But yet the scores between the Asus and Abit are so close, there is no clear winner.

It looks like the Abit board is at most 1% faster, and the Asus board overclocks about 5% higher...pick your favorite and go with it!

I was wondering about the order of the boards on the benchmarks as well. It seemed kinda random - not very professional.

What was MSI thinking with that automatic overclocking feature? I hope it can be disabled. And they claim it's innovative. fools. It's just dumb, IMO.

I agree, ABIT and ASUS are the best in the Springdale arena.

Also i love how at msi's website they brag about how inovative it is cause it was cause they hid it so well.

Quick question would you be able to rma that cpu (if you used it in the msi board)?

I know. It makes wonder if they're just marketing it to cover up the fact that they were caught cheating.

Who knows. Intel should be pissed at MSI. MSI released their Springdale board before they were supposed to and they're automatically overclocking Intel's processors!

Thge biggest reason an overclocker like me would be pissed is...the automatic overclocking scews the baseline benchmarks so that one can't tell how much "boost" they will get by pushing the same processor to the max on two different platforms.

Now I have an idea...smart UNDERCLOCKING, by USER preset! It would be really cool if you had a piece of software that could set the clock speed and core voltage lower when the CPU drops below, say, 50% usage...simply to save power and reduce heat!

Wait, doesn't CPU Cool allow for that?
