Ive been working on speeding up my PC, ive been learning about overclocking and wanted to give it a try. i looked under my PC's boot settings but was unable to find anything.

any software i can use to check if my processor supports overclocking?

Not what he meant for spec detail i believe. We wanted the model of the CPU/MOBO and what kind of cooling setup you have stock heatsink, aftermarket. More or less if it's adequate.

Might also want to get rid of that wall o text on your second post, doubt anyone will read it as it provides little info and it's basically a huge wall o text, in fact probably drive some people away in my opinion.

Other question we want to know is if your system is prebuilt. Because most prebuilt computers are have the bios locked down to the point where you can't overclock it through the bios. And would have to use software if it will even work, which won't work anywhere near as good and might be unstable.

This program will tell you want your system has in terms of hardware if you want to do it simple. I've used it several times so far and it works good.

My computer is prebuilt by Compaq.
the only thing i had put in it is a video card and better ram
im already overclocking on the video card
(NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS)
I have already attempted to flash the bios but my OS dosen't support the program.
basic CPU info is in the link above. the only diffrence is the video card
