Intel scared of Bulldozer, more people excited by AMD's upcoming cpu.

The above survey also shows that the geforce 9800 is the most popular GPU and that a majority of the CPUs have only 2 cores. Only 5.6% of users have a dx11 capable GPU. Judging by the clock speeds of the CPUs listed, that too is a sign that they don't exactly stay up to date.

I think if it shows one thing it's that they generally wait a while to upgrade. I think it's these people who are holding back game development for PC's. Upgrade your rigs more frequently, for the sake of the rest of us!

Was just looking at that myself. I mean, seriously, the GPUs in general are hilarious:

NVIDIA GeForce 9800

NVIDIA GeForce 8800

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

ATI Radeon HD 5770

NVIDIA GeForce 9600

NVIDIA GeForce GTS 150

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

NVIDIA GeForce 9500

Most people are clinging to the 9xxx (or even 8xxx) Nvidia cards, and the 4xxx ATI series also has a significant presence in the demographic.

Your a riot. You got more? Obviously you think your internet words hold weight. Please keep um coming. Just strengthens my first post. You and the ship is going down.

Wheres one of the mods to lock this up when you need them?

Would be a bit easier to just delete your nonsensical posts.

This could have been a perfectly civil Bulldozer speculation thread (as it was all through the first 20 or so posts, actually) until you chimed in to rock the boat.

You're the problem here.

Oh ok so im going to be a sheep like you.

AMD is KING
Bulldozer is going to mop the floor with Sandy Bridge
AMD is in first place
AMD doesnt play second fiddle to Intel

So just because I have a different view on things im the problem? LOL!

Quick, get this i7 machine off my desk at once and bring me AMD's best offering! What was I thinking all this time? You have converted me. AMD forever baby!

And no links from me cause when Im trying to prove a point on a product I love, I dont need them.

Guys just ignore him, he's trying to get the thread locked because he has money in intel stock. This is a common tactic seen by intel shareholders across a lot of forums btw.

You know you might have had a chance if you'd kept your sad little rant to intel vs amd - everybody knows intel owns amd right now - but when you brought nvidia into it you just proved that you are the mindless sheep.

Even the biggest intel fanboys know that AMD > nvidia for a long time. You just proved yourself to be clueless with that one, and deserve pity for your ignorance. :)

Fixed that for you.

I own stock in Intel but your the one with an AMD avatar and your name represents bulldozer.

Yet another garbage comeback from you. You and the others are really funny yet we still have no links from you. What we get a discussion link from you and your trying to pass it on like it means anything. Your as bad as getting your information from wikipedia and trying to pass it as a credited source.

Try again....

I've mimicked this sentiment a few times and I actually agree with you 100%. When I boot my PC up and start up a game I think to myself wondering just how much better it would run if the developers actually gave a *** about me and the fact that I've chipped in to buy a good GPU and a CPU that can handle dx11 at decent frame rates.

The bigger issue is the that the developers, in order to presumably cut costs, start from the bottom up (consoles > PCs) rather than the top down (PCs > consoles) and build up the graphical features (and very poorly, if you're looking at a recent example, a la crysis 2) and they don't cut down on the graphical features (like BF3 will be doing).

It's a great point, but I also think it deserves it's own thread 😛

That has nothing to do with it. Intel's graphics are just fine for what Intel made them for - basic productivity tasks. They were never intended for more. Recent (Sandy) graphics are improving too. Keep in mind, Intel's graphics are under a much, much tighter thermal and power constraint than any of AMD's or Nvidia's dedicated cards.

I absolutely agree with you. Internet polls are garbage.

On a side note: I am in the market for a new machine, but I am waiting for the Z-series chipset or possibly an AMD rig depending on performance.

First and Final Warning... Please stay on topic and away from "Fanboy" wars or this will quickly fall in line with all of the other "AMD vs Intel" threads.... Closed

Thanks for your support

why cant everyone just wait for the god damn cpu to be released? then you will know for sure how fast it is compared to what intel has a few months from now. till then enjoy amd's Pentium4-like clock speed increases. they are at 3.7 almost the 3.8 the p4 made it to. I bet they release a 4ghz phenom before bulldozer comes out taking out intels crown as highest clocked highest power consumption CPU mwohahahahhaaa.....it'll still be a slower cpu than a 2.5ghz SB though.

I guess the other side to the story is, without these "fanboy" wars, the Moderators won't get to close some many threads for not staying one topic or flame wars, as with this one as an example. 😀
