Hello friends,
I have recently changed my dual-core Intel Pentium E5400 (TDP 45W) with an Intel Xeon L5420 (TDP 50W) modded from socket 771 to 775.
Before switching the CPUs, my HTPC was completely silent, and now when I turn it on, the fans are just spinning very loud. Also, the Windows 10 is stuck on autorepair and keep restarting , so I cannot post after that message.
I really don't know what the issue is. I have reseted the BIOS to its default settings. I don't think the 5W TDP difference is the issue.
The PSU is also a Delta 280W 80+ and motherboard a Lenovo L-IG41N Rev:1.1
What do you think it may cause this?
