Intergrated webcam not working

So i am currently running on windows 8 on a Sony Vaio and i was on skype talking to a friend but my pc shut off due to lack of battery. After i plugged it in and turned it on i called him again but this time my integrated camera didn't work. I did some research online and what i found was the possibility of the drivers being out dated but when i went to control panel the Imaging Devices tab is missing. I am out of ideas on how to solve this. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hi,

Your integrated webcam drivers may have been corrupted. Since the "Imaging Devices" Tab is also missing from the Control panel, it'll be the best if you do a clean install of your integrated webcam drivers. Assuming you have your laptop model or better, your webcam model, here's the link: https://esupport.sony.com/p/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DRIVER

Download the driver & install it. This will solve the problem.
