Have a Verizon LG Smartphone, my internal storage is full. Just got a SD card. How do I set it to store on the card instead of internal storage? Also, think I got the Apps on there, but need to switch my music and photos over???
Apps can be manually moved to the SD card by viewing "Manage Applications." As for storing photos and videos if you go into the camera/gallery settings you can chose where they're saved i.e. the phone or the card.
I'm assuming that you're running android. that said, there are a few applications to move applications to the SD card.
I believe that one is called Apps2SD, but I'm not too sure. been a while since I actually messed with android.
Basically drag and drop for music and pictures. Create folders on your SD Card and simply copy your pictures on it.
As far as apps are concerned it can be done by setting>manage app it will show move to sd card.
Yes,I have the SD card in place, just am new to all this, and I dont know what to do n general, I know way behind, jokes on me. But,thank u so much for your time and help. ThankU..
Android by itself as of version 4 can move apps to SD, but only certain ones. Most Google apps won't move, third party depends on whether they allow it.
-You now see at least 2 files. Internal & External Storage (SD Card).
-Select the Internal Storagefile.
-Choose a file(s) you want to move to your External Storage by pressing and holding on the File's Icon. This will bring a menu of options for that particular file and all its contents.
- From these options select Move.
-In the new window select External Storage or SD Card, Micro USB, Flash Drive, etc.
-A progress mini window that appears indicates the success and completion of the transfer.
The file you selected to move is now going to be located/acting within your External Storage.
Hey guys Im actually doing this right now myself.
-Open app "File Manager"
-You now see 2 files. Internal & External Storage. Select the Internal Storagefile.
-Choose a file(s) you want to move to your External Storage by pressing and holding on their File Icon. This will bring a menu of options for that particular file and all its contents.
- From these options select Move.

For instance, I am right now moving files from my Internal to External Storage. Im moving some Internal Storage files like: Photos Gallery Misc Apps like my art app, Sketchbook Pro. Also moving my Photo and Video editing apps as well as their contents and all the work Ive thus far created. And Files of artwork inside the files of Apps like Quick Note or KineMaster((video editor)).)
And that does it! Alll finished and now just left to organize at your fancy!
