Hello everyone, hope you are all well!

Recently I have been experiencing a strange issue, I guess I can break it down from the beginning. Moved into a new apartment in July, had to switch to Spectrum unfortunately so went with their 1Gb plan since my wife and I both work from home (we are using their router, which is model ES2251). Instead of their router, we opted to get an ASUS RT-AX3000 (which also seems to be listed as the RT-AX58U, but I may be incorrect assuming they're the same). For the first nearly two months all was well, until about two weeks ago when Spectrum began to do maintenance in the area.

When the maintenance began, we started experiencing momentary freezing in any Google Meet, Zoom call, or Discord voice chat. It seems to happen every few minutes or so once connected to one of these calls, and only last for a handful of seconds before coming back. Sometimes the Google Meet activity tracker will note a spike in response time, other times it seems to still show the typical low ms count.

For reference, my PC is plugged via ethernet to the router, but we have also experienced this on two Macbooks on Wifi, and my wife's PC which is also on Wifi. It seems when I switch to my mobile hotspot, the freezing does not continue.

So just curious if anyone has any ideas on how to go about figuring this out? I've already contacted Spectrum, they came out and replaced the wire into my apartment, saying it looked old a damaged, but the problem is still persisting after this. I haven't thrown out completely that maybe it is an issue with the router, but it just seems odd it wasn't occurring before they did their "maintenance".

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Check and see if your router has any firmware updates pending;

Along the lines of the router, have you tried powering off the router and then powering it back on after a 10 min downtime?

For your PC's, I'd advised that you see if the motherboards for your respective PC's(not Mac's) are pending an update. As for your wireless adapters, you can try and reinstall their networking drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
