My internet is disconnecting on all devices every hour or two. I randomly time out. When I try to reload a webpage, I get a DNS error, then a "Your computer is not connected to the internet" message on Google Chrome. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

run ipconfig and determine your default gateway. wait until you get disconnected, open a command prompt and ping the default gateway, let us know if you are getting replies.

thats good, next time 4 things you need to do.
1. run ipconfig /all and look for your DNS servers, write them down and let us know what they are.

2,3 and 4 have to be done when you get disconnected.

2. open command prompt and ping your DNS server, let us know if you get replies

3. open another command prompt and ping 8.8.8.8, let us know if you get replies

4. open a 3rd command prompt and ping www.google.com, let us know if you get replies

Yes i am getting replies, 0% packet loss.

So they are "ALL WIRELESS" dropping no matter how far you are from the AP..
It must be the router then.. or something is severely messing with your signal.

Fluorescent lights can cause intermittent drops along with cordless phones and other electrical items but not everything all at once.. Do you have anything hardwired (cat5) into the router and if so, does it also drop connect?

may not be the best, but it is good enough, especially for troubleshooting purposes.

True.. He would need to do this in the router since his prob is with all devices..

Hi guys, thanks for all your help. My ISP have confirmed that my DNS is working perfectly, and that there is nothing wrong on their side. I ran a troubleshooter and it cleared up the fact that there is not a reliable connection between my PC and my router. And yes, the connection drops on all devices. My setup is this: Satellite on the roof, wire running from satellite to black box, LAN/ethernet cable running from black box to TP-Link Router. Could my little box be the problem? I remember dropping it a while ago, but I really dont think thats the issue. It still works fine and has a white light. Any assistance on this would be a great help.

ISPs always say that things are working perfectly on their end.

Go to the Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > local area connection IPv4 (TCP/IP) -> properties -> use the following DNS and set preferred DNS to 8.8.8.8. you can always change it back if things don't improve.

Yes, I have already changed my DNS settings to the following, as my ISP told me to do:
http://prntscr.com/avkz16

Since connection drops out on all devices, I'm starting to think its a router problem.
