Internet is connected but only google and youtube work

Ive been using a computer from toshiba for a while and it suddenly stops be from using other sites but it lets me use google and youtube. Im connected to the internet when this happens. None of my other devices have this problem when connected. When i wait for a page to load it says no data received. Help pls

Clear cookies and everything else and try again. If it doesn't work, reset your browser to factory settings or simply reinstall it.

While I agree with DubbleClick about resetting the browser, I'm concerned about what caused this problem in the first place. I recommend that you scan your computer for virus and trojan infections by using the following utilities: ADWCleaner and Combofix. You mentioned that you were able to go to google; does that mean that you can't search for an item (e.g. ADWCleaner) and then navigate to that site? If not then you'll need to google those two free utilities from another computer, transfer them to a USB on that other computer and then save them on the problem computer and run them. It is also entirely possible that your internet provider is having a temporary problem routing traffic to some websites but not others, but an infection is more likely. There is nothing to lose by running these to check and the good thing is that they should automatically reset your browsers anyway. Please let us know what happens. Btw, do not try simply scanning your computer with Malwarebytes or Norton; Malwarebytes only looks for malware, not viruses or trojans and Norton is crap.

I found it very annoying when it happened to me .. Simeple steps to dignose what is going wrong and simple fix
Go to Control panel--> Network and Internet --> Network and Sharing Center --> on the left side click on Change adapter settings --> (I was using Wi-Fi ) Double Click on Wi-Fi --> See what it says on IPv4 Connectivity and IPv6 Connectivity.. One of them must be saying "No Internet Connection" most probably IPv4
If so then go to "Properties" not the "Wireless properties".. In my case IPv4 was not showing "No Internet connection" so double click on IPv4
if you are already using option "Use the following IP address" then click to "Obtain IP address automatically" also select "Obtain DNS server address automatically"
If you are automatically obtaining the IP Address then click to select it manually and enter following options

IP ADDRESS : 192.168.1.105
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
DEFAULT GATEWAY : 192.168.1.1

DNS Server Addresses
Preffered DNS Server : 192.168.1.1
Alternate DNS server : 184.173.169.186

Hit "OK"
Hit "OK" on Wi-Fi Property window

Now you should see IPv4 and IPv6 both connected to the Internet.

You can also try to use "Disable" button next to the "Properties " button and then try enabling it

One of these options definitely work
