I’m a customer of xfinity and I have had the 250 Mbps package for awhile now and I’m tired of the speeds im getting at best 60 mbps and usually lower. I did some research and I’m thinking it has something to do with not having an Ethernet interface. The one recommended from xfinity is a1000 Gigabit Ethernet interface. I would like someone to explain to me what that is and which one I should get. I would like a gigabit one if I were to ever upgrade my speeds.
Thanks

If you are using a wireless connection then the speed will be dictated by the access point and the wireless adapter in your system. Any PC built after around 2013 should have a perfectly serviceable built in Gigabit Ethernet port so buying an expansion card for one will be unhelpful. Furthermore is this 60mbps download? Go to speedtest.net and see what you are getting for upload and download. Your upload speed should usually be around 1/10th of your download speed all internet packages are marketed off their faster download speed and upload is usually not talked about.
