Question "Invalid file!" Error when trying to flash B550M Steel Legend

I'm trying to update my bios but every file I've tried gives me an error saying it's invalid.

I'm downloading from Asrock's website and I've triple checked I'm using the right motherboard.

I'm currently in version P1.80

Current bios version
Motherboard
Bios file

Specs:
B550M Steel Legend P1.80
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
4070 Super
32GB DDR4

To support Ryzen 5000 G-Series processors, it requires to update the BIOS with Matisse, Renoir or Vermeer CPU

I'm not using a G-Series CPU and the R7 5800XD is a Vermeer CPU.

set bios to default first before updating bios overclocks etc can mess up the bios process.


if you can try a diffrent usb ( had a issue with a usb once)
make sure its completely formatted to fat 32
when downloading bios open folder and only copy the file not the folder this can cause issues.

update to bios 1.90 first then 2.00 then 2.10 after that you should be able to get to latest bios.
