Inverted Backwards GPU

I have a mini dell optiplex 9020. I'm trying to upgrade the graphics card. I was looking at something in the 1050 ti price range. $150ish. I have a double wide slot available, but with the cooling sytems on the bottom of the GPU, I only have room for a single slot pcie x16 The next slot over is a PCI 4 I think. Regardless, I wanted a 16. I bought a low profile zotac 1050 ti and was bummed when I realized it didn't fit. Does any one know if there are any pcie 16x graphics card makers that are built inverted, backwards, upside donw, however you want to say it.

If not, any recommendations on cards with similar power, that do not require a double wide pcie 16x slot.

Could you post a picture of what you're dealing with space-wise?

Single-slot 1050TI's aren't common.... I believe Inno3D has one, but not sure of availability.

Inverted/backwards etc, I assume you want the cooler facing the CPU, opposed to facing the bottom of the case?
I don't believe those exist.

EDIT* Yeah, Inno3D have one.... but I don't believe it's even for sale yet.

I don't think a riser cable will work, but I might try it. Any particular reason you wouldn't recommend it? A lot of vibration and not being fixed in a slot. Although it would be pretty snug in there.

The Inno3d looks like a solution not for sale yet, but pne that would work. My luck it will be $300.

I am looking for a GPU with the fan on the other side. That is what I meant. Double slot with the fan on top.

Any other good single slot cards?

Really a matter of need, budget, and power. Don't let the workstation/pro thing scare you off, these GPUs will game nearly as well as their consumer version equivalents.

Thanks. That's helpful. I haven't one yet in my $150ish price range. Instead of jumping up to $250, I'm thinking about maybe getting a new case. and keeping the 1050 ti I bought for $125. Great deal. Then I would room to do other things.

May have just found another issue. I think I'm going to move to a new case. The power supply on my SFF Dell 9020 is 255 Watts. Even if it fit, Zotac recommends 300 W, as it draws 75. Looks like I'm moving on to plan B.

I don't think that a gpu with the fan on the other side would be a good option espacially with an air cpu cooler. Your gpu would exhaust the hot air from the gpu directly into your cpu radiator and your ram.

If you are concerned about your gpu getting too hot with the fans exhausting downside i'd rather place a fan at the bottom of the case pulling the hot air out.

I have a 950 with a single fan in a mini atx case facing down so there is about no room at the bottom and the gpu never goes higher that 75* celius at full load and fan never higher than 60-70%.

The motherboard uses non standard power connectors specific to the Dell Small Form Factor - It's can't be transplanted.

Having said that, You can take what's really valuable from the Dell (Drives, CPU, RAM) and transplant them to a new or used motherboard and a new or used mini ATX case and PSU.

There is literally tons of this stuff available on Craigslist etc.

I have done this, because sometimes it's actually cheaper to buy a used office system than to buy a used Haswell CPU from anywhere. Putting the "good stuff" intoa standard case with a standard PSU just fixes so many issues with cooling and compatibility in that little case.

After you're done with the transplant, the Dell motherboard usually nets 35-50 bucks on Ebay and the PSU usually brings another 20 because idiots like me keep repairing old busted office systems and need stock parts.
