[SOLVED] Inwin Crown Addressable RGB Compatibility

On a build I just finished, I have 2 InWin addressable RGB fans:

And an MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon Mobo:

According to both MSI and InWin, the InWin ARGB is compatible with MSI's Mystic Light ARGB. However, the connector on the fans is a 6-pin 2x4 connector with labels for GND, Key, D, and 5V+, while the MSI Mobo JLED1 connector is a 4-pin 1x4 connector with labels 12V+, R, G, B. This is the only light connector I can see on the board, and the only one listed in the manual. Am I missing something here, or is the information just wrong?

A quick look at the Specs for the motherboard shows it has:
1 x RGB LED connector

You bought a motherboard that has no +5v addressable LED header. That is found on better, more expensive motherboards.

Alright, thanks! A bit misleading that MSI says the board has Mystic Light and a link to ML compatible components from the MoBo page. I'm pretty experienced in tech but I'm new to ARGB, so not being sure of the specifics I assumed a link on the MoBo's page would show things compatible with that MoBo.
For anyone else that may have done this (now that I know what the difference is I'm finding others with the same problem), there looks to be this converter:

It's cheap so I'll pick one up and mention here if it works.

For anybody else who may have done something similar, the thing finally came in last weekend. It's pretty decent, but because of the translation not all of the options look good. Constant on, breathing, and flashing all looked OK, other settings are erratic or hit or miss, so it's a good thing if you made the mistake I did, but don't buy parts around it.
