is 1600mhz right

hey guys
I have just added an extra 2 sticks of ram totalling 4 but can only run at 1600mhz not the 1866mhz i was previously at?
Just been reading this is common with amd fx processor so am i flogging a dead horse trying to make this run at 1866 ??

Hi,

I think you can get it to run at 1866 it depends on your mobo and ram at asus there is qvl list and that guarantee ram that will run at a set speed and how much you can have

Thanks beefy will check out asus mobos I have a gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 Rev 3.0 atm with fx6350...had 2 sticks running at 1866 but with 4 1600 is the best i can manage with it able to boot .
