Is 1ms monitor a 144hz? If not, how much fps is 1ms?

144hz = 144 fps
120hz=120fps

5ms=120hz=120fps

1ms=144hz=144fps
Then 1ms=144fps?
Im confused am i right?
Are these things that i wrote right or wrong ? Can u tell me how
monitors work at fps? I saw a monitor that hass 1ms without any frequencies (hz) i said then this monitor should be more than 120fps?.

the ms stated on monitors states how quickly the pixels are capable of changing colors (some uses GtG, or Grey to grey), 1~2ms are usually TN, 5~8ms are usually IPS.

However, it has no bearing on HZ on the monitor. ms refers to the performance of each individual pixels (how quickly can pixels change), while hz refers to the performance of the entire monitor (how quickly can it tell pixels to change).

For example, 1ms/60hz, 5ms/60hz, 1ms/144hz and 5ms/144hz all exist as real monitors.

If 1 ms is not related to the amount of fps, then why do 99% of all monitors dont display refresh rate on their details?

 


If a monitor doesn't specify its refresh rate in the description, that just means they are not marketing the refresh rate as being anything special. It almost always means that it is 60hz, but if you look up the specs of the monitor, it will tell you. Be warned that when a monitor says it has a max refresh rate of 75hz, that usually means it only can do that at a lower resolution, and 60hz is its normal operating refresh rate. Anything else is generally pretty easy to figure out.
