[SOLVED] Is 750w PSU enough for RTX3070?

Solution
In principle, even 650W should be enough even for an RTX3080. In practice though, many 750W PSUs struggle to provide sufficiently clean power to keep RTX3070s and up happy.

It really depends on the specific PSU and what else is in your system.
What is the make/model of the proposed psu?
If it is of high quality, then yes.

If it is a cheap quality unit, then do not use one, regardless of the claimed power or gold rating.

What is the make/model of the 3070?
Some factory overclocked units need two 8 pin power connectors vs. the normal one.

As long as it is a good quality PSU and is actually capable of delivering 650W. If you check the nvidia website you will find this for 3070 " Required System Power (W) = 650 ". :D

ASUS's Rtx3070 recommended PSU is 750W which is MIN imo. You should also consider future upgrades or Overclocks.
I would recommend an 850W Gold certified unit of reputable quality and efficiency to be safe. Seasonic Focus gold are well worth the expense with 10 years Warrantee.

You are good.

Check my sig.
I use a asus 3070 that needs two 8 pin connectors.
I use a seasonic focus 750 with no problems.
Testing with passmark, I saw the 3070 at 100% with no power issues.
I monitored the actual power draw with the APC ups powerchute app.
That said, there is usually minimal price difference between 750w and 850W. Today, I would try to buy 850w. The psu will only draw the power it needs, regardless of the max capability.
