So I recently upgraded my PC and I'm curious if a 650 80+ Gold PSU is fine for a RTX 2080.
My current specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 w/ AMD Wraith Prism Cooler
MOBO: B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
RAM: 4 x 8GB (32GB) of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600
PSU: EVGA Supernoza 650 G5, 80+ Gold
CASE: NZXT H510 w/ 4 case fans 2x 140mm NF-A14 and 2x NZXT stock 120mm
Current reused GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 6GB Mini
Now a good friend of mine has a Standard RTX 2080 and I didnt find out until after I bought and built everything. But he is offering it to me at a price I really can't refuse cause he doesn't need it. I'm wondering if I need to return my psu and get a 700/750psu. But this is if I really really need to, its a pain to buy and return anything currently.
Also ever psu calculator I've been on say that I should be fine...if it was a 2080 Super then they recommend a 700psu. But it say the regular 2080 with my current build is fine.
Reason I'm asking is cause I'm skeptical, so please let me know what you guys think and thank you in advance🙏.
