You *can* run a Ryzen 2200G with a higher-end GPU. Unlikes the old FM2+ APUs, the 2200G and 2400G are actually quite solid CPUs in their own right. And in the past, those A8s and A10s really charged you quite a bit for the APU part, the similar standalone CPUs usually being much, much less expensive.
The 2200G and 2400G have upended the valuation quite a bit, when it comes to AMD APUs. Personally, in your position, I'd buy a 2200G or stretch for a 2400G and simply buy a higher-end GPU at a later date. You can plug in a GTX 1060 or a RX 580 in there just fine.
