hi i am going to be building a new system in the not too distant future.
i am going to be using the cougar panzer case (plenty airflow) i will most likely use the 3 fan slots in the front of the and the top of the case.
my question is as follows :
i dont plan on doing any overclocking, but i know that an aio water cooler looks much cooler than a cpu fan.
would i be doing any damage if i were to use a budget aio that looks cool ?

https://www.pclinkshop.co.za/product/cm-masterliquid-ml120l-pre-filled-liquid-based-cpu-cooler-120mm-radiator-1x-120mm-masterfan-pro-air-balance-rgb-fan/

something like above

my planned build would be as follows :

i7 4790
q87 motherboard
8gb ddr3 1600mhz
antec 500w
gtx 1050ti (hoping to get a 1070 or 1070ti crypto mining dependent)
will run 1 ssd and 1 hdd

my plan is to keep it clean and i know this case allows quite alot of flexibility as you can mount the hards drive to the backplate, leaving plenty of room for airflow.
i intend on using 120mm fans all round.

thanks

Ive beenbbuying up stock of the older non rgb model in the uk because its discontinued & much cheaper than oroginal retail price.

Not for myself but for builds for people who want liquid cooling for aesthetics.

Thats a good price for the rgb model irregarfless of whether you want to use the led fan lighting or not.
Pretty much the price of the original non rbg model.

You could use that controller to power rgb strip lighting instead of the rgb fans if you so wished.

Its worth about $15 usd on its own.

The panzer comes with 3 intakes & an exhaust prefitted ??

Drop the 240 in the top mount fan slots as an exhaust & you're done cooling wise.

No need to add anythimg more.

Out of interest why the old component list ?? You already own...
A 120mm aio ??

No entirely not worth it imo.

The ml240 at literally cents more ??

Yeah that is probably worth it.
It wont run rgb lighting though without a controller or onboard rgb sockets.

Solid budget 240mm aio though imo, & very very cheap.

thanks man will definately look into it if it has the RGB controller that is an added bonus i guess

no i dont own these but prob getting them at a pretty good price, if that doesnt work out i will end up with a ryzen 5.
then i may do some overclocking, lol
also the q87 mobo is appealing as i may be able to get a i7 4970k in the future, they are becoming more available and not badly priced.

I will keep that in mind im trying to be budget but i want as much performance as possible. Also saving for a gpu is the crazy part if i can find one at a reasonable price then i can spend a bit on the cpu mobo combo.
Also i shud mention i play of my living room tv ( 1080p)and use my pc as an entertaintainment centre
So an i7 evn such an old one will give me more than enough performance
