Is a fan hub required?

I will soon be building my first rig using an H440 as case and an Asus Maximus IX Code as MOBO. I will be using 3x120 front intakes, 140 back exhaust and the kraken x62 on top also exhaust. As you can guess I'm obviously new to building a pc so ... Do I need to buy a fan hub/controller?

BTW I intend to use corsair fans since Noctua fans do not ship to where I live from Amazon, newegg & ebay, are they good enough?

CountMike, thanks for answering, can you recommend a good hub for me? I intend to use the ML Pro corsair fans and I read somewhere they need to be connected to PWM, I do not even know what that means xD. And does the hub itself control fans speed or will a software do it?

PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) are fans with 4 wires/contacts, provide better control of speed. Could also be used with 3pin controllers/hubs. Thera are many of those, some use own temperature probes while others get signal from MB. Prices vary a lot depending of type.
