I'm shopping for a new, kind of high-end, PC build (GTX 980 ti, i7 4790k, etc.) and I noticed that amazon had the best prices, at least in Canada, compared to newegg, which I used to believe was the best place for PC parts shopping. So is amazon reliable ? Do they really have the best prices or do I shop online like a dumbass ?

ex : for a EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti ACX SC+ ACX 2.0+ with Backplate

amazon
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Graphics-Backplate-06G-P4-4995-KR/dp/B00YDAYOK0

(679.99$)

newegg
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487142
( choose the GTX980 Ti SC+ ACX2.0+ w/BP option on the right end side )

(829.99$)

Am I missing something ? like, they're not exactly the same or something ?

Thank you in advance.

Amazon is a good retailer for certain components.
Do note: That amazon link is in USD.

I recommend using http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/, it will compare all prices on the component and show you the cheapest retailer.
amazon is a great place to shop for parts. their returns are on point. i returned a 3 month old card for full money back.

as for those prices, you have Newegg.ca (Canada) and Amazon.com (USA). You need Amazon.ca (Canada), but it looks like they don't have it available.

Why is the Canadian dollar so weak.. But thanks for making me notice it though, appreciated.
