My planned build
I5 7600k
Asus strix GTX 1070
240mm aio cooler
1 SSD
1 SATA HDD
2x8 gb dd4 corsair vengeance rgb
I am planning on overclocking my gpu and some slight overclocking on the cpu.
Thanks!

A 550W would be fine as long as it's a quality unit. Power draw for a 7600K is 91W and power draw for a 1070 is 150W. You could get by with less, but don't skimp on the quality of the PSU to save money.

Yes, very much so. Only if you want to add a second GPU do you need a higher wattage PSU. But for most GPUs a 550W is fine. Be sure to get the G2 or G3, avoid the NEX series.
