Question Is an i5-4590T good for 2023 ?

i want build a pc like this:

- intel i5-4590T
- Gtx 1050 ti
- 2x8 1600Mhz Ddr3
- SSD Nvme 1TB gen 3

is old processor good for light usage like web-browsing, microsoft apps, etc.

What has the most impact on multitasking speed? Is it the CPU, RAM, or SSD?

(The only game I play is Genshin Impact)

That's certainly enough RAM, even though it is DDR 3

The SSD drive will help you quite a bit. An NVMe might not be compatible.

The CPU is from around 2014. I'd think it would be fine for browsing and Office and basic productivity tasks. The 4590T is a quad core CPU with a Passmark score of 1649....that should be tolerable for your stated purposes.

I have no idea if your parts are in good working order or what you will pay for them, but on its face, I don't see anything wrong with those parts for your tasks, assuming those parts use up all of your budget.

Not sure about the video card or your gaming requirement.

Overall....I'd say CPU is still the most critical part for most productivity tasks, assuming you have an SSD of some...

For basic usage like this, it should be fine. But don't expect to run Genshin Impact on very high settings or anything; the CPU is right at about their stated minimum specs and the GPU is a bit above, but not dramatically so.

Don't get an NVMe. Getting those to act as the boot drive on a system that predates them is a headache at best, impossible at worst. Get a SATA SSD; the big jump is from HDD to SSD and you won't notice except in purely sequential workloads.

motherboard support nvme and Team Mp33 pro nvme price lower than sata $35 for 1tb when Vgen sata $39, i think i will upgrade spec in future.

its about the cpu cant handle or something?

Hello!

I would buy a cheap, new generation processor, since Windows 10 will no longer be supported past 2025, and you won't be eligible to install Windows 11 or 12 on that PC because of the minimum requirements.

What if Windows 10 ended its support and I couldn't use it anymore?
