Question Is an i7-4790 Non-K too weak for 2K resolution ?

What do you think, is my i7-4790 too weak for 2K resolution? Currently i have this CPU and a 1660 Super with a 1080P 144Ghz Monitor, yeah it's not bad. But iI also want also to try out a 2560 x 1440P monitor with 165Ghz, so can my PC handle that ?

At 1440p/165, you'd likely want to go better than that if you want to hit those framerates. In our nine-game sample in our review for the 3070, it was around 120 fps in 1440p on average. But that was also a review from just under three years ago.

Seems like, if i need better FPS then need to buy a performance CPU. Example, an i911900kf ?
