Is an SSD worth it?

Should I get one? 85 dollars is a lot that I could put towards upgrading something else, or getting the case of my choice. If I upgrade to one later am I able to transfer Windows 10 from my hard drive to the SSD? I will be gaming mostly.

If you want your PC to start up really fast, you should go for it. Otherwise, the performance gain when using SSD is not worth that $85 from my point of view as let's say spending them on a better graphics card or CPU.

So if I'm correct it just loads stuff faster? It won't give me an fps boost? Will games feel smoother on it? Otherwise I'll upgrade something else now, and then maybe for my birthday get an SSD. I can swap windows over to it right?

In gaming it will only load levels faster.

The games WILL run smoother, but only by a little bit. Spending more money on CPU or GPU will grant you a MUCH bigger FPS boost.
