is apple or pc best for me?

i like watching movies online and disc. now when i ant to the apple store i saw that the new iMac which i was hoping to get to replace this one with had two major differences. one it had a LCD screen rather the high quality LED screen which my current unit has. two it had no disc drive for movie watching. the only thing which is still the same is it's less prone to viruses part. so as a result i had to consider a pc were i can pick my screen and has a disc but is more prone to viruses. i also do photo editing so what's best for me mac or pc.

What Mac were you looking at? The MacBook Air does not have an optical drive nor does the MacBook Pro with Retina display. However the MacBook Pro (non-retina version) does come with an optical drive but not a Blu-ray player. The MacBook Pro does come with a backlit LED display. If you want Blu-ray you would have to use an external drive and Blu-ray software. For the money you would spend on a MacBook Pro you could get a PC laptop that has all that you want including a Blu-Ray player/burner and the ability to easily run any photo editing software you want to use.
