Is better, 24GB (16GB+8GB) 2400mhz (for Work Laptop) vs 1x16GB 2667mhz (for Gaming Laptop)?

Because work Laptop(two sodimm slots) has 1x16GB 2667mhz and gaming laptop (one sodimm slot) has 16GB 2400mhz plus I have unbox 8GB 2400mhz. I'm thinking to swap between them so I won't waste any slots and any RAM. All DDR4.

That isn't guaranteed to work, but you can give it a shot.

the difference between 2400mhz and 2667 is really small, so if you can have 24 gigs, its probably better, though, if you don't really need more than 16, it won't matter much.

Also, with 1 16gig stick and 1 8gig stick you will NOT have dual channel, so you won't get a benefit there.
