Is corsair memory(vengeance) ok at 1.65v instead of 1.5v

Will 1.65v damage the mem?
ie upgrading asus P7P55D-E Pro using(for 2yrs) i7 860 'Lynfield' 2800 O'Clkd to 3373.86 mhz (and Bus at 160.66mhz x 21 =3373.86)

Was using 2x2GB; 4GB total 1.65v specd Corsair XMS3 1600 9-9-9-24.(gen2 i7 and 1.5vRam not made then)


The new ram:= Two Pairs of Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A 1600 C9B a total of 16GB but 1.65v spec not there any more--these are
specd at 1.5v so as not to damage the new Intel processors----But my previous generation i7 860 is ok at 1.65v---But is the Ram ok?at 1.65v
It is not even warm.

A lot of people must have run into this.
NonOverlocked it stays at its SPD in BIOS of 1.5v ..and 2800mhz

Overclock and it changes to 1.65v

It is normally fine for ram to run up to +0.2volts when overclocked so you should be fine.

Since it is NOT for a SB or IB CPU, you are fine. SB & IB both Have a max Vram of 1.575 V.
