[SOLVED] Is heatsink on M.2 SSD necessary?

So i want to install another M.2 on my mobo, the slot is just under the GPU and i dont have a heatsink for that slot.
Will SSDs heat mind my GPU and other way around, or is it ok, SSD will be used for playing games FYI.

I depends on your uasage of it. For a heavy usage I would say definitely but only on the controller chip. The memeory chips need heat to run at top speeds. This is why you typically see the top performers having them.
