Hello Guys,

Hope you all are doing fantastic!

I have a 1 decade old celeron Laptop which did serve me well till these days for my office use small works. Now i have decided to build a new Gaming PC by my self and these are the specs that i am going with.

CPU: Ryzen 5600x $200

Mobo: MSI B550m Pro VDH WIFI $137

PSU: MSI MAG A650BN $60

RAM: XPG ADATA GAMMIX D30 DDR4 8GB (1x8GB) 3200MHz U-DIMM $39

Monitor: MSI G27CQ4 E2 Curved Gaming Monitor | 27 Inch WQHD (2560 x 1440px) | 170Hz, 1ms $288

Storage: Crucial P3 1TB PCIe 3.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s $47

GPU: RX 6700xt $432

Case: Ant Esports ICE-110 Mid-Tower Supports E-ATX, ATX & VS450L 450 Watt Non-Modular Continuous Power $60

Total ~ $1260 (Already have a keyboard and mouse)

The CPU, Mobo, RAM, PSU ... i have already bought and now i am going to buy above shown Monitor next month and after that month may be the Case and SSD and hence forth other components as i cannot afford to buy all in just one go I also tried to go as low as possible and these are as far i did since going for too old gen PC parts like CPU and GPU etc do feel bit pointless to me . I also have zero PC building experience but i do have a degree of computer science (only s/w) which kind of help me with some basic knowledge. I am also considering buying RX 7700xt gpu since it is $528 which is hundred dollar more than 6700xt. My question is will i get post on with these PC components as mentioned above or do i have to change somethings with the above list of items.

Thank you for your time to read and have a great awesome day to you from India :)

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Yes

do i have to change somethings with the above list of items
That's possible if we knew what your budget is, what your preferred site for purchase is? you might want to change the ram kit to something with tight timings, rated to run at DDR4-3600MHz.

There are videos on YT that showcase how to build your PC with parts that you've purchased. Here's one.

The thread title and your thread question seem detached, IMHO.

Thank you #Lutfij for swift response! yes i am thinking of getting a new RAM with bit faster mhz. I am currently watching many PC build videos but i have seen few peoples upgrading their mobo bios the above mentioned board with ryzen 5600x as the did not get post without bios update. Again that you for your recommendations i will watch the video that you shared to get more information for my pc build.

This cpu is less expensive, runs cooler than the 5600X and gives you almost identical performance.

the AM4 platform is dead. if you are currently on AM4, i would have adviced you to get the 5800X3D and you would not have CPU troubles for atleast 3 years. Now? getting AM4 brand new is not a great idea.

The 4060ti 8gb starts at 34k, but i would suggest the 16gb for 2k monitor. performance wise, both the 6750XT and the 4060ti are comparable to each other. the 16gb starts at 44k.

So for 1 lakh rupees, this is what i would suggest:

The mobo would support i7 14700 upgrade. So if you want to upgrade in 3 years, you can.

the other alternative is AM5. you would have to go for DDR5 rams, B650 mobo and 7600X. this would cost you 25k more.

CPU - 12400 - 15600 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/intel-core-i5-12400-processor-bx8071512400?search=12400
Mobo - B660 mortar wifi - 18300 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/msi-mag-b660m-mortar-wifi-ddr4-motherboard?search=B660
Cooler- AG500 RGB - 2500 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...ooler-r-ag500-bkanmn-g?sort=p.price&order=ASC
Ram - Spectix D60 3600mhz 32gb - 7200 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...ry-ax4u360016g18i-dt60?sort=p.price&order=ASC
SSD - KC3000 2tb - 12000 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...2tb-ssd-skc3000d-2048g?sort=p.price&order=ASC
GPU - Asus dual 6750XT - 34000 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/asu...ion-12gb-gddr6-dual-rx6750xt-o12g?search=6750
Case - Antec AX90 - 5300 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...d-tower-gaming-cabinet?sort=p.price&order=ASC
PSU - RMe 850 - 10600 - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...r-supply-cp-9020263-in?sort=p.price&order=ASC

Total - 105500

Ask them for a discount for the whole system, they might oblige.

P.S.: if you can spend a bit more, i would suggest this cooler: https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...coolerr-ak620-bknnmt-g?sort=p.price&order=ASC

But this might interfere with the rams? you would have to check that out. AK620 ram clearance is 42mm. D60 ram height 46mm. The cooler might cover the first 2 ram slots.

Thank you for the support guys. Really did appreciate your insight on this. Ryzen 5600 and 5600x price is almost same in india just few $ less for 5600 as it is newer cpu. AM5 platform is great but i think for the time been i cannot stretch that much so i ll go for old Gen. Intel price to performs feels less to me comparing with the amd cpu that is currently offering with.

Between the 5600X and 12400? the 12400 is slightly ahead:

6750XT vs 4060ti:

dont forget that with the B660, you can get the 14700. thats the only reason i am suggesting 12400 now instead of 5600X.

I kinda missed that you had the monitor as well in your 1 lakh budget.

I would suggest these changes to try to offset the cost:

Monitor: LG27GN800 - 23k - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...7gn800-b-27-inch-qhd-ips-144hz-gaming-monitor

16gb RAM - 4.3k - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...ory-ax4u36008g18i-dt60?sort=p.price&order=ASC

SSD - Crucial P3 1tb - 4k - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...-nvme-ssd-ct1000p3ssd8?sort=p.price&order=ASC

Case - Antec 200 air - 3.8k - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...i-gaming-cabinet-white?sort=p.price&order=ASC

so with the ram, case and SSD you are saving 12.4k

PSU - ask them if this model was manufactured in 2022 or later - NZXT C750 - 8.7k - https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-...wer-supply-pa-7g1bb-in?sort=p.price&order=ASC

So if you are lucky with the PSU, the total savings is 14.4k

You do not want a PSU that is stored idle for 3 years.

You are kinda lucky that GPU, mobo and cooler have white and black RGB theme going on. Ez to mesh with a white case.
