well i wanted to try using a sata instead of an ide, because i have tried 3 diffrent ide drives.... but i have no sata to borrow from anyone :-/

Well you might try sence you said that you got windows to install intel it was time to reboot disconnect dvd drive to see what happens?? make sure to change boot sequece
