I have a computer with a bogus Windows installed. I can buy a hard drive with genuine Windows. Can I save my files to a flash drive and transfer to the new hard drive? Thanks.
A hard drive with genuine Windows ??? Not likely. They would have to be installed on your computer. Files you can save and transfer any way you want but programs would have to be installed again.

So, your advice is to backup my files and install a new OS on my hard drive?
