Question Is it better to buy a CPU / MB / RAM bundle or just CPU

Here is the current setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VkMwh7

My game is pretty choppy, I only really play fortnite and try to maximize FPS and turn all graphics on low. I was also thinking it's time to upgrade ram and a cpu. Microcenter has decent looking bundles with cpu ram and mb that saves around $100 - Would you personally recommend getting this bundle or maybe just putting a new CPU in my setup? I would also just use an air cooler. I just use the stock Ryzen one for my 2700 for the past 5 years and it seemed fine

AMD Bundle ($399.99 or $429.99 one): https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/bundle-and-save.aspx
Intel Bundle: https://www.microcenter.com/product...-s5-32gb-kit-ddr5-6000,-computer-build-bundle

Thanks!

All of those bundles look like a great entry onto a DDR5 platform but what concerns me is that your H500 case is known to be a box that cooked it's innards. I'd swap the case out to something that has a meshed/well ventilated front panel. You're also going to need a cooler for either of those bundles since the X variant of Ryzen processors post-3000 series don't come with a cooler nor the K suffix processor from Intel.

contrary to what's listed on PCPartPicker, that case does support ATX motherboards;

but since you're going to Microcenter, you can check out their aisles for a cheap cooler and case.

How old is the PSU in your build and what did it power throughout it's tenure?

So the whole build including PSU is coming up on the 5 year mark in a few months, my psu only powered what you seen in the partpicker list. Yes my case is weird i heard it uses "negative air pressure" and you shouldn't add more fans. I would still like to air cool my cpu unless i have to buy an AIO cooler, but then a case, cooler, we're adding atleast $200

7700X would be a vast improvement. But a 5700X3D in your existing system wouldn't be that bad either, certainly the X3D is better for high FPS titles. You could also upgrade to 2x16GB of DDR4 3600 while you were at it.
Well thats nice cause the 5700x3d is on the site for 179.99. X is overclocked though right, so I would need an AIO cooler or would an air cooler be fine? Also, if Im already upgrading RAM id get the 32GB i guess. So maybe the bundle makes sense.. which bundle would you get?

Power supply should still be okay. Oversized to start with, so it should have had an easy time of things.

It is a 105W TDP chip vs the 65W of the stock 2700. You can just put the CPU in eco mode if you wanted to. However, gaming loads are generally not full load.

I would probably pick up a new air cooler. Doesn't have to be anything fancy.
