I have an HP xw6200 workstation that came with 2 146GB UW SCSI hd's. The computer also happens to have SATA support on the motherboard. Can I simply replace my 2nd hard drive with a 2TB SATA drive and keep my primary hd as the 146GB SCSI? Thanks.

You should be able to. I have heard of conflicts before between the two, but it depends on the hardware involved. After you install the SATA drive, remember to go into your bios and set the proper boot order just in case it changes, i.e. your primary scsi device first.
