Is it Possible change display setting in compatibility mode?

change 640 x 480 to 1024 x 768 doesn't work

The compatibility setting is not something you can change, since it has to do with with compatibility to old dos-like software that needs old display styles.

More than that, you should never NEED to use it on normal software.

i'm trying to open old program's and game's
You are right ! i shouldn't trying to patching files or something , it's totally waste time

Use compatibility modes instead. If you really need something and have an old OS key you can use, you can always use virtualbox or hyper-v for compatibility
