Is it possible to boot from both a SSD and HDD without them seeing each other?

Hello
Is it possible to have a boot choice of windows 8.1 on a SSD and windows 7 on a HDD.
I would like them to be totally independent of each other with neither seeing the other.
Basically I want the SSD to boot up with no power going to the HDD and vice versa.
Hopefully this can be done.
Thanks in advance

Hi Emerald...
Have you had a fair amount of "hands-on" experience with this specific device? And if so, were you totally satisfied with its performance?

I ask these questions because a few years back we used a similar power switch device such as this Kingwin unit but we ran into problems with its performance. The main problem we experienced was a significant voltage drop when power was activated to one or more drives. It was an intermittent problem as I recall but it did give us some concern since there occurred a definite dimming or flickering of the monitor screen when a unit's power switch was activated.

Another drawback (for us) to this type of device was that it did not give us the flexibility of using different drives "on the fly" such as we experience when we use removable HDDs/SSDs (mobile racks). Of course this might not be a consideration for most users who utilize (and are content with) fixed internally-connected drives.

Many thanks for our reply, I will have a look at this switching device.
I am guessing that I cannot achieve my aim without getting third party hardware
